  Excellent service, nice bar. Very attractive rooms with sparkling clean bathrooms. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Nice decor in rooms, even if a bit small. Good tea selection and biscuits, but only instant coffee available in the room. Loved it.

  My wife and I live in the Netherlands and were travelling in the Cotswolds with two Dutch friends. I booked two nights at the Manor House at the end of May via a special offer from The Daily Telegraph and we all found it very good value. Our room was quiet but a bit small. Our friends' room was bigger but noisier, although not disturbingly so. The breakfasts and evening meal were excellent and we enjoyed the cream tea in the garden, which was part of the package. The restaurant service was enthusiastic, albeit sometimes a bit confusing. Virtually every member of staff seemed to be going through a training phase so there perhaps a bit too much of a desire to please.

  No charm left here to say the least.
  
  General manager David Bwian was most pompous &inconsiderate when informing us it wasn't open for 'Food & Drink' as it's now advertised. He made us feel like we were intruding.
  
  A 94 year old lady shouldn't have to stagger in on crutches to find out, it should have been posted on the website!!! Your 'General Manager' would do well as a thug but not in hospitality.
